About Annamma Teacher




THE CREST JEWEL OF TEACHING COMMUNITY Smt.S.AnnammaGaru,

GURU BRAHMA – GURU VISHNU – GURUDEVO MAHESWARA – GURU SAKSHAT PRABRAHMA – TASMAI SRI GURUVENAMAH – It is no exaggeration to say that no profession other than teaching profession received the respect, honour and position worthy of worship in the society.  Presidential awardee Smt. AnnammaGaru stood as embodiment of such a holy profession by doing justice, she has been catering to the needs of many poor and destitute children as a parent and providing education as a teacher and even after retirement with renewed enthusiasm, she has been extending her sevices and providing direction to many poor students of not only the schools in the jurisdiction of GVMC but also the schools in sub urban and rural areas.

CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES SINCE 1973

            She started her social service ever since she has joined the teaching career at Municipal high school, New colony, Visakhapatnam.  She is providing dresses and books to many destitute and poor children with her non resources.  She created a new trend in the teaching community with her activities like, attending the school well advance to the scheduled time, oiling  the hair in braids for disheveled students, providing uniforms to the children infusing discipline among students and thereby made the parents felt ashamed of their negligence and realize their responsibilities towards their children Mrs. Annammagaru is a great orator, she has no parallel in stimulating and influencing the children, parents and teachers with her inspiring speech.

            In 1992, she adopted 10 poor students, and provided food and other amenities at her home she educated them upto X class and shown employment opportunities to them.

CONSTRUCITON OF ADDITIONAL SCHOOLBUILDING

            In 1996, she joined in MunicipalCorporationUpperPrimary School, Butchirajupalem on transfer.  At that time the construction of 5 additional rooms at a cost of Rs.4.25 lakhs is sanctioned. As she could not satisfied with structural design given by the engineers without columns, she asked the contractor to construct the same with columns only for that she is ready to pay the additional amount.In this connection she immediately offered Rs.1 Lakh to complete the building and received many accolades from the education department.  She voluntarily carried bricks for the construction and also white washed the school buildings exhibiting her commitment.

            She inculcated the habit of thrift among children with the launch of money savings scheme and could mobilize Rs.65,000/- in just 2 years time.

            She was instrumental in bagging 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes at District level science fair during 1997-2000 with her innovative low cost – No cost concept in making teaching aids.

            She has been distributing clothes to 40 old age persons of VisakhaPriyadarshini home for the aged every year.  She has proved that service to humanity is service to god with her generous contributing in providing uniforms, note books, pencils, play items, writing pads, ribbons etc to many poor children every year.  She is praised by all for her motherliness, humanitarianism and generosity.

HAPPINESS OF HAVING SONS

            Smt. Annammagaru blessed with 4 sons, the eldest Mr. T.N.V. Vara Prasad (USA), 2nd Son Mr. John Anil Kumar (Germany), 3rd Son Mr. Joshuva Praveen Kumar (Australia) and 4th son Ratnakumar.  All the 4 sons have been giving due respect to their mother’s words and contributing liberally for the charitable activities taken up by her. Not only her sons but also her daughter-in-laws 1) Mrs. PremaLatha
2) Mrs. PriyankaLizz  3) Mrs. EmimaPrasanthi Elisha 4) Mrs. KanthiSudha respectively are encouraging her activities.  She meets all this amout spent towards these charitable activities came only from her pension, her husband late Mr. Daniel’s Pension and the amount sent by her sons in respect of her mother on several occassionsand also she has happy movements with her grand sons Mr. Ratna Daniel of her elder son Mr. Akhil Stephen of her second son and Anna Sunayana of her fourth Son.

AWARDS AND REWARDS

            She crowned many awards and rewards for her relentless services in the field of education as well as community service.  She was adjudged as the best teacher district level consectively for 3 years during 1995 to 1997.  In 1997 she was awarded State Level best Teacher award and during 1998 – 2008 she received many awards.  She was honoured cash rewards and awards from the Municipal Corporation for the outstanding centpercent results she achieved  at 7th class examaintion from 1999 to 2002.  She received the National Best Teacher Award through the hands of His excellency Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, President of India in 2003. She also received national levelVidyaratna Gold Medal from National Economic for Health and Educational Growth (NEHEG), New Delhi in 2005.In  2006 she received BharatiyaSiksha Gold Medal from All India Business Development Association, New Delhi.  In 2007 She got Education Life Time Achievement Award, awarded by Global society for health and educational growth, New Delhi. She was honoured with so many awards and rewards from many government of non government agencies and educational institutions.

            The national best teacher awardee Smt. Annammagaru is very unique, in her entire serviced career spanning 32 years she availed of only 27 leaves at an average of 1 leave per year though she was entitled for 15 CLS + 7 Spl. CLS + 5 (women) leaves per annum by the Government.

            Smt. AnnammaGaru availed only one leave per year since her joining in service in 1973 that too for celebrating birth day of her eldest son of Feb. 09 and on the demise of her husband Mr. Daniel on sep. 17th 1996.  She stopped availed leaves for birthdays as the children are grown.  She availed leave on 31st July 2003 on the demise of her mother.  So she is a great personality availed only one leave on average till her retirement on 31st July, 2005.  Her autobiography is really an inspiring source to the entire teaching community.

INSPIRER

            Inspired by her charitable activities Mrs. Kanaka Ratnam colleague and wellwisher to her family extends her service to the charitable activities by adding Rs. 5000/- per year for the last two years in memory of her husband.

            Another lady Mrs. Rajeswari Lincoln also inspired from her charitable activities and came forward to give Rs. 5000/- every year for the last two years in fond memory of her husband.

MESSAGE

            Teachers should be punctual, committed to teaching and be a role model to the students and they should not resort to their dereliction of their duties for any reason or indulge in activities leading to wrong path of students.

The role  model for Charity – Smt. S.AnnammaGaru,
THE GREAT  TREASURE OF THE POOR CHILDREN – SMT. S.ANNAMMA GARU.

            The National Best awardee Mrs.S.Annammagaru made the words of the great poet Baddenamatya a reality – that “ act of donation is the perfect ornament to the hands”

            Her benevolence made it possible for many poor and destitute children to access free education .  She has been contributing all that in her possession to the educational upliftment of the poor and destitute children and strengthening the schools with infrastructural facilities and she became the crest jewel of the teaching community.

            If at all there is an emblem or embodiment for the act of benevolence /charity it is none other than Mrs. AnnammaGaru figure , image as being praised by one and all.

            She is not just catering to the needs of the many schools in Municipal Corporation where she worked , but also many MandalParishad and ZillaParishad schools in rural areas have been adopted by her and supplying uniforms notebooks, bags, belts, pencils, scales, writingpads, student articles for games and sports, Utensils like Lunch plates, Glasses for students and providing infrastructural facilities like dual desk benches, chairs, fans, tube lights,  megaphones and public address systems to these schools. Special attention has been paid for plantationin the schools for every visit. All these are only a few to mention among many acts of donations by Smt. AnnammaGaru, after her retirement.

1  G.V.M.C.. School: Rly New Colony:.

            She donated Uniforms, Notebooks, School bags, belts, ties, shoes besides meals plates, glasses required for middaymeal to nearly 200 poor students of this school.  She donated, more than 100 ornamental plants to the school.  She arranged for teaching aids, and slogans written on the classroom walls.  She also donated 2 fans, 4 chairs, 1 megaphone to the school.  She gifted 40 chairs to children and toys to ECE centre.  Every year books,bags,belts,tie and other stationary items are being given to children. An amount of Rs.67,600/- was spent by her.

2. G.V.M.C. School, CBM, Dondaparthy

            She donated uniforms and slates to around 130 poor students and similarly belts, ties, shoes, note books to around 200 students.  She donated 2 chairs and 1 mega phone to the school, and 80 chairs to the students.  Every year books,bags,belts and other sationary are being given to children. Around Rs.49,800/- more spent on the school.

3. G.V.M.C. U.P.School, Butchirajupalem

            In addition to the Rs.1,00,000/- aid to tocomplete the unfinished building in the school an amount of Rs.39,300/- was totally spent on this school providing note books, to all the students of class I to Class VII.  Uniforms were provided to 100 students of this school.  Steel Plates and glasses were provided to the students for the middaymeal scheme.  4 Chairs and one megaphone were gifted by her to the school.  Every year books and other sationary are being given to children. Around 1,41,900 was spent on this school.

4. G.V.M.C.School, Pedawaltair:

           She donated bags, slippers for the school.  An amount of Rs. 9,000/- has been spent on the school sofar.



5. G.V.M.C.School, Saketapuram

            Uniforms, note books, slates, ties, belts, steel plates and glasses have been provided to all the 85 students, studying in their school. In addition 4 chairs and one mega phone were gifted to the school.  Total amount spent in this school is Rs.36,700/-.  Every year books,bags,belts and other sationary are being given to children.

6. G.V.M.C.School, Kapparada

           She donated note books, bags, belts worth of Rs. 2,600/- was given for the newly admitted students from the year 2011 onwards.Sofar an amount of Rs. 5,200/- has been spent on the school.

7. G.V.M.C.School, Karasa

            She donated uniforms, slates to 30 poor children besides donating note books, belts and ties to all the students of the school and a megaphone to the school.  She spent Rs.28,400/- on this school.  Every year books,bags,belts and other sationary are being given to children.

8. G.V.M.C.School, Madhavadhara

           She donated note books, bags, belts worth of Rs. 4,000/- was given for the newly admitted students from the year 2012 onwards.

9. G.V.M.C.School, RamachandraPatasala

            She donated uniforms to 300 students and note books, slates to all the students, she provided  steel plates and glasses required for the middaymeal and megaphone to the school.  She incurred expenditure Rs.67,500/- on the school.  Every year uniforms, books, belts,bags, tie and other stationary items are being given to children.

10. G.V.M.C.School, Burmacolony

           She donated note books, bags, belts worth of Rs. 4,000/- was given for the newly admitted students from the year 2011 onwards. Sofar an amount of Rs. 8,000/- has been spent on the school.

11. G.V.M.C.School, Dharma nagar

            100 poor students were provided with uniforms and slates and note books,bags,belts to all the students of the school.  Meals plates and glasses for the midday meal scheme and one mega phone to school were provided by incurring expenditure of Rs.30,600/-.

12. G.V.M.C.School, NGGOS Colony

She donated note books, bags, belts and plates worth of Rs. 8,000/- was given for the newly admitted students from the year 2012 onwards.

13. MandalparishadPrimary School, Rechavanipalem

            She presented uniforms, and note books to 100 students belong to 3 schools in the vicnity.  She provided meals plates and glasses to the midday meal scheme.  She paid examination fee of Rs.125/- to 10 students of 10th class and also note books worth Rs.100/- to these students.  She incurred a total expenditure of Rs.44,250/- on this school.  Every year uniforms, books, belts, tie and other stationary items are being given to children.

14. MandalparishadPrimary School, Musaliahpeta, Sagarnagar

            She donated uniforms, and note books to 50 students.  She provided meals plates and glasses to the midday meal scheme.  She incurred a total expenditure of Rs.9,000/- on this school.

15. G.V.M.C.High School, Malakapuram

            Smt. AnnammaGaru spent Rs.12,000/- to provide intermediate education during 2004 – 2005 to 8 poor students of this school where she worked earlier.

16. MandalparishadPrimary School-I, Veduruparthi

            During the academic year 2006-07, she donated uniforms and note books to 100 students of this school.  During 2007-08 she donated uniforms to 25 students and 1 almirah, 1 table 2 chairs, 1 mega phone, 30 floor benches to the schools.  She gifted books worth Rs.1000/- to the library of this school.  During 2008-09 she provided paintings to the school and uniforms to 25 students.  A total amount of Rs.58,000/- was spent on this school.  Every year uniforms, books,bags,belts, tie and other stationary items are being given to children. Two ceiling fans were also given to the school.

17. Mandalparishad Primary School-II, Veduruparthi

            During the academic year 2006-07, uniforms, note books, pencils erasers, writing pads were donated  to 44 students of this school.  1 almirah, 1 table 2 chairs were gifted  to the school.  During 2007-08 and  2008-09 uniforms given to 50 students with a total  expenditure  of Rs.23,580/-.  Every year uniforms, books,bags,belts, tie and other stationary items are being given to the children.

18. Z.P.High school, Veduruparthi

During 2006-07, kits worth Rs.60/- each supplied to 40 SSC students of this school.  During 2007-08 Rs.125/- worth note books kits were distributed to 35 students, 6 chairs, almirah, 5 tables, 1 computer table, 2 wall magazine boards and snowcem paintings to outerwalls were provided to the school.  She distributed Rs.8,500/- scholarships to 10 students to encourage college education.  One mikeset was presented to the school during 2008-09.  Note books, kits worth Rs.130/- each are distributed to 36 students of X class, 7 wooden benches were presented to English Medium section.  50 steel plates and 50 steel glasses were provided for the midday meal scheme in the school.  The internal walls of the school building were coated with white cement and doors were painted.  To encourage college education, she donated Rs.10,400/- to 14 students of this school,  Iron meshes were fitted to the windows of additional rooms of the school, with an expenditure of Rs.2,600/- and slogans were written on the walls with paint with an expenditure of Rs.1,400/- .  An amount of Rs. 40,000 /- given to construct a stage with the help of GRAMABHIVRUDDI COMMITTEE headed by SAGARAPU SANYASI NAIDU, KUKALA RAMUNAIDU, PANDALA YELLAYYA NAIDU, KANDREGULA VENKATA RAO who added Rs.65,000/- as a matching grant to her gesture in school premises which is named as “VIDYA BANDHU SMT. S. ANNAMMAGARI KALAVEDIKA”and also she spent Rs. 20,000/- to install “GANDHIJI STATUE” in the school ground.  Every year the children are getting books worth of Rs. 200/- each and about Rs. 14,000/- is being distributed to out going 10th class children for their futher studies On the whole huge amount of Rs.2,13,000/-   was spent on the school.





19. Mandalparishad Primary School-IV, Kasimkota

            She donated note books, bags, belts worth of Rs. 2,600/- was given for the newly admitted students from the year 2011 onwards. Sofar an amount of Rs. 5,200/- has been spent on the school.

20. KNMGHigh school, GVMC, Vizag

4 Fans were provided to this school and in 2005-07, twenty students have been adopted and provided intermediate education with an expenditure of Rs. 40,000/- @ 1,000/- per student for two years. In 2007 – 09 she adopted five more students and spent Rs. 30,000/-  @ Rs. 3,000/- per student for their further studies. Total expenditure on the school is Rs. 76,750/-.


21. MunicipalcorporationHigh school, New colony

4 Fans were gifted to this school and in 2005-07 ten students have been adopted for providing intermediate education with an expenditure of Rs. 32,500/-. And in 2007-09 five students were adopted and spent an amount of Rs. 20,000/- @ Rs. 2,000/- per student for their studies. Total expenditure of Rs. 52,500/- has been spent on the school.

22. MunicipalcorporationHigh school, Madhavadhara

To encourage college education Smt. Annamma donated large amounts to more and more number of students from this school. 20 girl students  of this school have been adopted and provided with intermediate education for two years spending an amount of @ Rs. 3000/- per each student incurred expenditure of Rs. 1,20,000/-. Maheswari a student of this school got admission in 1st year degree and continued her studies with the help of Smt. Annamma. Mikeset worth of Rs. 8500/- was presented.  Moreover uniforms were given to large number of students. Around Rs. 1,71,750 has been spent on this school. Every year the outgoing poor X class children are getting financial support to continue their education.

23. Z.P.HighSchool, Tallapalem:

Rs . 4,000/- was given to purchase water tank and to install Statue of Dr. SarvepalliRadha Krishna.


24. Z.P.HighSchool, Bayyavaram:

Rs. 4,000/- was donated towards puchase of motor in connection with water supply given to the toilets of the children.


25. Z.P.HighSchool, Gangavaram:

20 Ceiling Fans were given to this model school.  Books worth of Rs.200/- each was given to X class students in the year 2011.  On 28th July 2012 she spent Rs. 33,000/- to install Gandhiji Statue in school Premises.  Four chairs and several plants were given to this school.  An amount of Rs. 70,000/- has been spent so far.

26.  M.P.P. School, Gangavaram:

She presented note books, belts, bags and other Stationary Items to the newly admitted children in the school starting this service from year 2011 onwards.  Sofar she has spent Rs. 4, 200/- on this school.



27. Z.P.HighSchool, Yellapuvanipalem:

An amount of Rs. 10,500/- has been given to purchase a mike set for the school.  Slogans were written on the walls of the class rooms.  Books worth of Rs. 200/- was given to each X class student from June, 2011 onwards and scholarship were given to rank students in June, 2011.  Sofar an amount of Rs. 35,000/- has been spent on this school.  

28.  Z.P.HighSchool, Narava:

        She has spent Rs. 9,500/- for writing Slogans in all the class rooms.  She distributed note books worth of Rs. 75/- each to X class students in the year 2012 and also her support was given to the school for plantation.  An amount of Rs. 22,000/- has been spent.

29. MunicipalcorporationElementary school, Kapadipalem, Nellore:

Books, Uniforms, Plates, Glasses, Water drum and other required material was given in memory of her childhood in Nellore. An amount of Rs. 10,000/- has been spent.

30.G.V.V.K.Schools, G. Madugula:

       She presented Uniforms and Books to Tribal Children studying in G.V.V.K. Schools in G. Madugula run by well noted N.G.O coordinated by Sri. Ajay Kumar.  For these schools she has spent an amount of Rs. 10,000/-.

SPIRITUAL ACTIVITIES

DONATIONS TO CHURCHES (Total 14.91 lakhs)

  1. In 2007 Rs. 1 Lakh was given to IruvadaOld Age Home, Sabbavaram for its construction.
  2. In 2008 Rs. 3 Lakh was given to GollalapalemCalvryBaptist Church, Sabbavaram for its construction.
  3. Her son Sri T.B.A. John Anil Kumar (Germany) has given Rs.1.20 lakhs to Mother Theresa charitable trust.
  4. In 2008, AnnamaGaru has given Rs.1,25,000/-  to Bendapudichurch in memory of her beloved husband Daniel whose place of birth is Bendapudi, E.G. Dist and also she is sending Rs.500/- per every month for the maintenance of that church.
5.   She has given Rs. 45,000/- to Rekhavanipalem Church, Bhimunipatnam.
      6.   She has spent Rs. 33,000/- to purchase site for PoosapatiRegapalem Church.
      7.   Rs. 80,000/- was given to construct DimidiJwala Church, Near Baleru, Orissa Border. 
8. In 2010 Rs. 17,500/- was given to NelloreChurch to purchase AHUJA Mikeset in memory
of her  childhood in  Nellore.
9.  In 2010 Rs. 10,000/- was given to KanamamChurch, Near Adavivaram, Visakhapatnam.
10.  Monthly Rs. 4000/- was being given to her adopted village IPPA MANAGUDU near Srikakulam
and also KondaKoneru near Orissa to proclaim GospalSuvartha. Around Rs. 1,20,000/- has been
spent.
    11.  Rs. 1.5 Lakhs was given to construct KondaKoneruViswavani Church near Orissa dedicated on
           17-09-2011.     
    12.  Rs. 1 Lakh was given to construct I.E.M. Church near Bhadrachalam dedicated on 31-05-2012. 
    13.  Rs. 80,000/- was given to construct Pedaplam Daniel Memorial Baptist Church near Machilipatnam
           dedicated on 07-05-2012. 
    14.  Rs. 25,000/- was given to make Doors and Windows in Karasa Church.
    15.  Rs. 10,000/- was given to Calvry Baptist Church, Tagarapuvasala installing Entrance Gate.
    16.  Rs. 50,000/- was given for Wood Work in Dharmavaram Church near Bendapudi.
    17.  Rs. 35,000/- was given to Calvry Baptist Church, Hyderabad for its construction.
    18.  Rs. 1 Lakh was given to construct Calvry Machine Church, Chinagadili, Visakhapatnam which is
under construction to be completed by December, 2012.

                     Above all these spiritual activities she runs prayer cell at home every wednes day in the evening with the help of Rev. P.V. PRASAD GARU and is giving valuable gifts to the needy and poor people who are attending prayer cell on several occasions in a year.
                    




DONATONS TO ORPHANS HOSTEL

                     From the year 1997 onwards, Annamgaru is extending her service to the orphan’s hostel also which is attached to Karasa church led by pastor sekhar.Every month every child was being given bathing soaps, washing soaps as required by them.  And 4 kgstoordall was being supplied to the hostel per every month.  At the beginning of every academic year they were given uniforms, note books besides this clothes and a feast was arranged on every Christmas.So far an amount of Rs. 1,25,000/- has been spent on this Orphans’ Hostel.

                     Rs. 4000/- worth note books were given each  to KarasaOrphans Hostel as well as VizianagaramOrphans Hostel.  To encourage 3 Tribal children, Rs. 1,500/- per month has been spent for their education.
           
                     To the orphans home in Madhurvada, Visakhapatnam  run by Mr. Paul Nanda she is providing uniforms and books. Rs. 700/- worth ration is being supplied every month. So far the amount spent is Rs. 40,000/- .

                     Every year form 2009 onwards about Rs. 700/- worth Ration every month is being given to the children of Love and Light orphans school in Vizianagaram.  So far Rs. 20,000/- has been spent.

DONATIONS TO OLD AGE HOMES

  1. Similarly from the year 1997 onwards clothes and towels were being given to old age persons in Priyadarshini old age home, Akkayyapalem,Visakhapatnamalong with a wonderful feast arranged on the day.  Biscuits and fruits were given on every Friday apart from this soaps were given once in a month and medicines were also arranged for the ill health persons.
  2. St. Joseph’s old age homes:- In the year 2008 clothes and towels were given to 42 persons, many kitchen vessels were supplied and also a big tea Kettle was given.  About 30 Buckets and mugs were also arranged.

                     In addition to the above, charitable activities in schools she donated sarees, dhotis, towels to many poor people and provided her passion to reach to the needy ever increasing and highly admirable and imitable.  She honoured many teacher colleagues with clothes, pens etc.,  She stood as a crest jewel of the teaching community and her auto biography continues to inspire and guide the teachers as well as entire community.

                     Altogether in a year Annammagaru has spent nearly Rs. 6 Lakhs for giving support to the poor children as well as to construct the churches of which Rs. 1.6 Lakhs is spent in the month of June to support the schools when the reopening of the schools took place and Rs. 1 Lakh is spent for the Orphan Children and the poor people in the month of December on Christmas Eve and nearly 3 Lakhs is donated every year to construct the churches.

Gospel Ministry:
           
There are 11 members in Gospel Ministry keeping Annammagaru as a Captain.  The members are namely 1) Rajeswari Lincoln 2) Charlet 3) B. Mary 4) Manga Tayaru 5) Prameela 6) Helen Subhodhini            7) Rajakumari 8) Prabhudas 9) Pasala Mary 10) Vedavani 11) Parimalachari. All are from middle age to old age upto 70 years who are encouraging Smt. Annammagarufor her charities and they inspired and actively participated in all the programs by giving scholarships to the poor children and by providing infrastructure to the newly constructed churches.

If anybodycomes forward to construct the church in remote areas, He / She will be given all the guidance and support from Annammagaru who is well experienced in constructing number of churches in her name as well as her childrens name with courtesy of Viswavani church and I.E.M. GURU BRAHMA – GURU VISHNU – GURUDEVO MAHESWARA – GURU SAKSHAT PRABRAHMA – TASMAI SRI GURUVENAMAH – It is no exaggeration to say that no profession other than teaching profession received the respect, honour and position worthy of worship in the society. Presidential awardee Smt. AnnammaGaru stood as embodiment of such a holy profession by doing justice, she has been catering to the needs of many poor and destitute children as a parent and providing education as a teacher and even after retirement with renewed enthusiasm, she has been extending her sevices and providing direction to many poor students of not only the schools in the jurisdiction of GVMC but also the schools in sub urban and rural areas.

CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES SINCE 1973
She started her social service ever since she has joined the teaching career at Municipal high school, New colony, Visakhapatnam. She is providing dresses and books to many destitute and poor children with her non resources. She created a new trend in the teaching community with her activities like, attending the school well advance to the scheduled time, oiling the hair in braids for disheveled students, providing uniforms to the children infusing discipline among students and thereby made the parents felt ashamed of their negligence and realize their responsibilities towards their children Mrs. Annammagaru is a great orator, she has no parallel in stimulating and influencing the children, parents and teachers with her inspiring speech.

In 1992, she adopted 10 poor students, and provided food and other amenities at her home she educated them upto X class and shown employment opportunities to them.

CONSTRUCITON OF ADDITIONAL SCHOOLBUILDING
In 1996, she joined in MunicipalCorporationUpperPrimary School, Butchirajupalem on transfer. At that time the construction of 5 additional rooms at a cost of Rs.4.25 lakhs is sanctioned. As she could not satisfied with structural design given by the engineers without columns, she asked the contractor to construct the same with columns only for that she is ready to pay the additional amount.In this connection she immediately offered Rs.1 Lakh to complete the building and received many accolades from the education department. She voluntarily carried bricks for the construction and also white washed the school buildings exhibiting her commitment.

She inculcated the habit of thrift among children with the launch of money savings scheme and could mobilize Rs.65,000/- in just 2 years time.

She was instrumental in bagging 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes at District level science fair during 1997-2000 with her innovative low cost – No cost concept in making teaching aids.

She has been distributing clothes to 40 old age persons of VisakhaPriyadarshini home for the aged every year. She has proved that service to humanity is service to god with her generous contributing in providing uniforms, note books, pencils, play items, writing pads, ribbons etc to many poor children every year. She is praised by all for her motherliness, humanitarianism and generosity.

HAPPINESS OF HAVING SONS
Smt. Annammagaru blessed with 4 sons, the eldest Mr. T.N.V. Vara Prasad (USA), 2nd Son Mr. John Anil Kumar (Germany), 3rd Son Mr. Joshuva Praveen Kumar (Australia) and 4th son Ratnakumar. All the 4 sons have been giving due respect to their mother’s words and contributing liberally for the charitable activities taken up by her. Not only her sons but also her daughter-in-laws 1) Mrs. Prema Latha. 2) Mrs. PriyankaLizz 3) Mrs. EmimaPrasanthi Elisha 4) Mrs. KanthiSudha respectively are encouraging her activities. She meets all this amout spent towards these charitable activities came only from her pension, her husband late Mr. Daniel’s Pension and the amount sent by her sons in respect of her mother on several occassionsand also she has happy movements with her grand sons Mr. Ratna Daniel of her elder son Mr. Akhil Stephen of her second son and Anna Sunayana of her fourth Son.

AWARDS AND REWARDS
She crowned many awards and rewards for her relentless services in the field of education as well as community service. She was adjudged as the best teacher district level consectively for 3 years during 1995 to 1997. In 1997 she was awarded State Level best Teacher award and during 1998 – 2008 she received many awards. She was honoured cash rewards and awards from the Municipal Corporation for the outstanding centpercent results she achieved at 7th class examaintion from 1999 to 2002. She received the National Best Teacher Award through the hands of His excellency Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, President of India in 2003. She also received national levelVidyaratna Gold Medal from National Economic for Health and Educational Growth (NEHEG), New Delhi in 2005.In 2006 she received BharatiyaSiksha Gold Medal from All India Business Development Association, New Delhi. In 2007 She got Education Life Time Achievement Award, awarded by Global society for health and educational growth, New Delhi. She was honoured with so many awards and rewards from many government of non government agencies and educational institutions.

The national best teacher awardee Smt. Annammagaru is very unique, in her entire serviced career spanning 32 years she availed of only 27 leaves at an average of 1 leave per year though she was entitled for 15 CLS + 7 Spl. CLS + 5 (women) leaves per annum by the Government.

Smt. AnnammaGaru availed only one leave per year since her joining in service in 1973 that too for celebrating birth day of her eldest son of Feb. 09 and on the demise of her husband Mr. Daniel on sep. 17th 1996. She stopped availed leaves for birthdays as the children are grown. She availed leave on 31st July 2003 on the demise of her mother. So she is a great personality availed only one leave on average till her retirement on 31st July, 2005. Her autobiography is really an inspiring source to the entire teaching community.

INSPIRER
Inspired by her charitable activities Mrs. Kanaka Ratnam colleague and wellwisher to her family extends her service to the charitable activities by adding Rs. 5000/- per year for the last two years in memory of her husband.
Another lady Mrs. Rajeswari Lincoln also inspired from her charitable activities and came forward to give Rs. 5000/- every year for the last two years in fond memory of her husband.
MESSAGE
Teachers should be punctual, committed to teaching and be a role model to the students and they should not resort to their dereliction of their duties for any reason or indulge in activities leading to wrong path of students.

అన్నమ్మ గారు శ్రీమతి ఆరోగ్యమ్మ,శ్రీ జోసెఫ్ పుణ్య దంపతులకు 17 జులై 1947 లో నెల్లూరు లో జన్మించారు, తాత కోట్లపుడి దేవదాసు. పల్లెటూళ్ళకు తిరిగి వైద్యసహాయం అందిస్తూ ఉండేవారు. 12 సంవత్సరాలపాటు అన్నమ్మగారు తాతగారి ఆలనా పాలనలోనే పెదిగారు. తాతాగారి ప్రేమను చూరగొనడమే కాదు; మామయ్యల గారాబాల ముద్దు బిడ్డగా పెరిగింది. అన్నమ్మ గారికి ఒక చెల్లెలు, ఇద్దరు తమ్ముళ్ళు.

విద్యాభ్యాసం:
నేల్లోరేలోని సేన్ జోసెఫ్ స్కూల్ లో అన్నమ్మ ప్రాథమికోన్నత విద్యను పూర్తి చేశారు. ఆ రోజుల్లో ఎస్.ఎస్.ఎల్.సి., టెన్త్ క్లాసు లాంటివి లేవు. ఈ విద్యార్హతకు సమాన స్థాయిగా పరిగణించే హెచ్.ఎస్.సి. ఉండేది. అది చదివాక డాక్టర్ కోర్సు పరీక్షలో అర్హత సాధించి గుంటూరు మెడికల్ కాలేజీలో చేరి రెండు వారాలపాటు క్లాసు లకు కూడా వెళ్ళడం జరిగింది. చిన్నప్పటినుంచి అమ్మలాంటి ఆప్యాయతతో అక్క వద్ద పెదిగిన ఆ చెల్లెలు డాక్టర్ చదువు కోసం తనను విడిచి గుంటూరు వెళ్ళిపోవడం తో అక్కపై బెంగాపెట్టుకొని ఆరోగ్యం విషమించే పరిస్థితికి వచ్చేసరికి డాక్టర్ చదువును అర్థాంతరంగా వదిలేసి తన చేల్లెలిదగ్గరకు వెళ్ళిపోయారు అన్నమ్మగారు.ఆ తర్వాతా బి.ఎ.చదవడం జరిగింది.

వివాహం,సంతానం:
అన్నమ్మగారికి 1971 లో శ్రీ తలారి డానియెల్ గారితో వివాహం జరిగింది.వారికి నలుగురు సంతానం. టి.ఎస్.వి.వరప్రసాద్(అమెరిక) జాన్ అనీల్ కుమార్ (జర్మనీ) ,జాషువ ప్రవీణ్ కుమార్ (ఆస్ట్రేలియా)లు విదేశాలలో ఉద్యోగం చేస్తూ ఉండగా చిన్న కుమారుడు రత్నకుమార్ విశాఖపట్నంలో తల్లి చెంతనే ఉన్నాడు. ప్రేమలత,ప్రియాంక లిజ్, ఎమిమా ప్రశాంతి ఎలిషా,కాంతి సుధలు అన్నమ్మ గారి కోడళ్ళు.

ఉద్యోగం:
విశాఖపట్నంలోని న్యూ కాలోనీ మునిసిపల్ హైస్కూల్ లో 1973 లో గ్రేడ్ 2 తెలుగు పండిట్ గా అన్నమ్మగారు ఉపాద్యాయ జీవితాన్ని ప్రారంభించారు. ఆంధ్ర విశ్వ విద్యాలయం వీసి శ్రీ లంకపల్లి బుల్లయ గారు చొరవ తీసుకొని అదనంగా ఒక సీటు పెంచడం వల్ల అన్నమ్మగారు విజయ నగరం ఎం.ఆర్.కాలేజీ లో బి.ఇడి. చేరి చదివి ప్రాక్టికల్స్, థియరీలలో ప్రథమ శ్రేణిలో పాసయ్యారు అన్నమ్మగారు. 78 లో బి.ఇడి.పోస్టు సంపాదించారు. అన్నమ్మ గారు మంచి ఉపాధ్యాయనిగా పేరు ప్రఖ్యాతులు ఆర్జించారు. టీచింగ్ ఎయిడ్స్,బోధనోపకరణలు, బోధనాంశాల వల్లే తానూ చక్కగా బోధించా గలిగానని, అందువల్లే తనకు అవార్డ్లు రివార్డ్లు వచ్చాయని అన్నమ్మగారు పేర్కొన్నారు. చాడువుకునేప్పటి నుంచే ఉపాధ్యాయులంటే ఎనలేని గౌరవం. ఆమెకూడా టీచర్ కావడానికి తనకు బోధించిన ఉపాధ్యాయులే ప్రేరణ అని అన్నమ్మ అంటారు. సహనం...ఓర్పు...ప్రేమతో విద్యార్థులను మంచి మార్గంలోకి తీసుకు రావచ్చని నమ్మి సాధించి చూపిన ఆదర్శ ఉపాధ్యాయురాలు అన్నమ్మ.

సంచాయక బ్యాంకు:
విరామ సమయంలో పిల్లలకు బ్యాగులు తయారీ, అల్లికలు నేర్పించి అలా తయారు చేసినవి ఉపాధ్యయులకే అమ్మించి డబ్బును సంపాదించడం, పొడుపు చెయ్యడం అన్నమ్మ గారు విద్యార్థులకు నేర్పారు.ఈ విధంగా సంపాదించి 2 సంవత్సరాల వ్యవధిలోనే కూడబెట్టిన సొమ్ము 65 ,000 వేల రూపాయలు.
